Located adjacent to Galla Creek Wildlife Management Area, this property is in a prime location for whitetail deer, flocks of mallards, and gobbling turkeys in the spring. This property is located at the end of a dead-end road and provides private accesses into the western side of Galla Creek WMA. The property consists of mostly bottomland timber. Large cottonwoods, pecan and sugarberry are the primary species within. This property is dotted with pocket fields and foodplots in the timber ranging from a half an acre up to 7 acres in size. The northern boundary is a 12-acre row crop field that is farmed by a local farmer on a 25% share. Just south of the property is the Arkansas River. The eastern boundary is a large native grass field that borders Galla Creek WMA. This property is loaded with deer year around. In the winter, two water features that have been managed for moist soil grasses and millet are flooded and hold a good number of ducks each year. The property has an electric irrigation well that is piped to the ag field and to the moist soil unit in the woods. The current property owner has killed deer as large as 155" on this property. He has harvested over 40 turkeys and shoots a couple limits of ducks each week during the season. This property has it all and is 15 minutes from Russellville, 45 minutes to Conway and just over an hour from Little Rock.
