Located just north of Clarendon lies this 181.12 acre recreational property along the Cache and White River waterfowl flyways. This property known as "Little Egypt" has been managed for both duck and deer hunting for years. It is enrolled in the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) and has been planted in hardwood timber with a few large waterfowl and deer foodplots implemented throughout. This tract has a large oxbow lake along the western boundary that allows the owners private access into the White River and the Cache River Refuge which hold one of the largest populations of wintering mallards in North America. This lake can also provide a great early season duck hunting spot for those low water years and floods into the timber when the river is over 23' at Clarendon. The moist soil unit located in the center of the property is annually managed for native grasses and is also seeded with millet. This spot is flooded with the irrigation well located on the property. The deer hunting in the area is phenomenal and Boone and Crockett bucks are a possibility. Accessing this property is from the levee road that protects Clarendon from the White River. This road leads to the gated road that leads into the property. The tract has a good building spot for a cabin or metal building that should be safe from river flooding.
